Huawei has finally revealed the details of their latest smartphone in the Mate series – Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, as well as the Mate 20 X! This time, the new flagships will be featuring Kirin 980 processor, three camera sensors, a FullView display and more! Check out what has been announced below!
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
Huawei Mate 20 Pro of course offers the best specifications you can get in the market now. It is getting a 6.39-inch curved OLED display with the impressive aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a 3120 x 1440 resolution. Just like Vivo NEX, Mate 20 Pro now features the in-display fingerprint scanner too.
It is powered by the newest Kirin 980, the world’s first commercial 7nm SoC combined with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable with nanoSD card). It is also featuring EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie. On the cameras, it is having the Leica triple camera on the back – 40MP wide angle lens + 20MP ultra wide angle lens + 8MP 3X telephoto lens. While on the front, it is featuring a 24MP front camera for selfies.
The battery is one of the best in the industry yet with a massive 4200mAh battery. Moreover, it now supports wireless reverse charging, another world-first feature that allows you to charge it by placing it back-to-back with another device that supports wireless charging.
Available in 4 color options – Pink Gold, Midnight Blue, Emerald Green and Twilight Black, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is available at 1049€ (about RM5039) from 16 October.
Huawei Mate 20
Just like you may expect, Mate 20 features most of Mate 20 Pro’s features including Kirin 980 processor and EMUI 9 based on Android 9. Its RGBW display is slightly larger than Mate 20 Pro’s at 6.53-inch, but it is having only FHD resolution (2244 x 1080) and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9.
Aside from Kirin 980, the device also features 6GB RAM (with 4GB variant) and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 256GB with nanoSD card). The battery is not as massive as Mate 20 Pro’s, but it is still a large one at 4000mAh.
Mate 20 also comes with the Leica triple camera lineup – 16MP ultra wide angle lens + 12MP wide angle lens + 8MP telephoto lens on the back. On the front, it is having the 24MP selfie camera as well.
Huawei Mate 20 will be available from October 16 (today) and similar to Mate 20 Pro, it is having 4 colour options as well – Pink Gold, Midnight Blue, Emerald Green and Twilight Black. It is priced at 799€ (about RM3838) for the 4GB RAM version, while the 6GB RAM version is priced at 849€ (about RM4078).
Huawei Mate 20 X
Other than Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, Huawei has brought us a surprise announcement of Huawei Mate 20 X too. It is featuring a 7.2-inch OLED display, Kirin 980 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM and a supermassive 5000mAh battery. It also comes with the Huawei M-Pen (Huawei version of Samsung’s S-Pen).
Mate 20 X has put its focus more than gaming performance, as it features Huawei SuperCool, the world’s first vapor chamber and graphene film cooling technology. A GamePad is specially designed for the device too, where it comes with an analog stick and a D-pad that you can attach it to the left of the device.
The device will costs you 899€ (about RM4319), it will be available in 2 colour options – Midnight Blue and Phantom Silver from 26 October.
