The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes now has a release date in sight thanks to a new trailer shown during the Summer Game Fest today. The game will release on October 22, 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S. Pre-orders for the game are also available.
You can watch the story trailer and release date announcement video from Bandai Namco Entertainment here:
For those who are unfamiliar, House of Ashes is the third installment of the Dark Pictures Anthology, a series of eight planned survival horror games. House of Ashes puts players in the boots of soldiers in the Middle East who somehow unleashed a horror that threatens their lives.
The video also announced the collector’s edition for House of Ashes, dubbed the Pazuzu edition. Contents include an underworld creature figurine, exclusive stickers and art print, and more. You can see how they look here:
In addition, pre-ordering the game also gives players exclusive early access to the curator’s cut. The curator’s cut lets players play previously unavailable scenes with different characters, promising new choices and different outcomes.
Alternatively, there is also The Dark Pictures Anthology Triple Pack which contains the previous two games including House of Ashes, perfect for players looking to get into the franchise.
