Even though it has not even been a single year since its release, Japan-based game developer Ateam’s mobile RPG Houkago Girls Tribe will be discontinuing its service next month, or 29 November 2017 to be exact.
Houkago Girls Tribe was first launched on 22 December 2016, was showered with love for its character design, which was overseen by Shinichiro Otsuka, illustrator for the Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- light novel series. It even features a rather voice actress lineup, including Sakura Ayane, Hayami Saori Ayane Sakura and Uchida Maaya. One would expect the game to be popular amongst the 声豚s, but it would seem that their support simply isn’t enough to sustain the game.
All the developer had to say regarding its rather abrupt decision is that it cannot see a future running the game. From now until the closing date, chapter 9, chapter 10, and the rest of the side stories will be unlocked for players to complete. Meanwhile, in-game purchases will be available until 31 October 2017.
