Horizon: Call of the Mountain, a PlayStation VR2 spin-off title based on Guerilla Games’ Horizon series was announced earlier today. The reveal for this new title was made alongside the announcement of a free update for Horizon Forbidden West, which adds new features like New Game+ and an Ultra Hard Difficulty.

The trailer showed off some gameplay as well as new methods of traversal. It also features a new protagonist named Ryas.
According to Guerilla Games:
Step into a new virtual reality adventure set in the world of Horizon. Explore the world through the eyes of Ryas, former Shadow Carja warrior, to uncover a grave threat to the Sundom. Experience luscious and dangerous areas up close as you fight mighty machines, meet new and familiar faces – and take in spectacular views on the immersive River Ride experience!
As for Horizon Forbidden West, the free update is now live on PS4 and PS5. Here is what players can expect, alongside various fixes.
- New Game+
- Ultra Hard difficulty mode when selecting the difficulty for New Game or New Game Plus
- Reset Skills functionality within the menu
- New functionality to apply a different look to Aloy’s armor
- New Rewards available in New Game+ (Weapons, Dyes and Face Paints)
- A New Trophy Set
