Developer CoCoRond has just launched its latest card-based RPG Horaku no Carneades for the Android and iOS platforms.
The game is being described as a roguelike RPG of sorts, a fairly uncommon genre for a game presented as such. Horaku no Carneades tells the story of the protagonist who fell into the world of Carneades after hearing angelic sounds from a mysterious being. In order to recover his lost memory, our hero embarks on an adventure with two companions.
As this is at its core a card game, you are tasked with building your own deck with the various available cards, so some sound knowledge of how the mechanics work will be necessary in order to advance. If you are one to enjoy putting thought into how to build the optimal deck and enjoy the challenges of RNG associated with roguelikes, then you may want to give this game a shot.
