The Design and Display
HUAWEI P20 series introduced the gorgeous gradient color finish which it became a hot topic among the smartphone users, and honor 10 somehow followed the trend by introducing the aurora gradient glass design. It comes in a beautiful glass body – the “Aurora glass” made with 15-layers of 3D glass on the mirror-like back.
The models we get are the Glacier Grey and Phantom Blue version. The Glacier Grey colour is standard yet elegant, while the Phantom Blue version is super eye-catching – it is a tempting mixture of blue and violet that shows different colour radiance when you view it from different angles.
We get a 5.84″ FullView FHD+ display with the “notch” design on top and 19:9 aspect ratio on honor 10. There is still a noticeable bezel located at the bottom, where an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is located underneath the glass (you can unlock it even if your hands are wet and greasy). honor 10 weighs about 153g and is only 7.7 mm thick too.

Camera
Well, honor 10 doesn’t have the triple lens camera, but it is featuring the AI-powered 24 MP + 16 MP dual lens rear camera so it is still a good deal. The AI technology in honor 10 could recognize 500+ scenarios in 22 categories in real-time and apply scene-specific parameters to each photo – which means you can easily get a professional shot with it. Also, it allows multiple lighting options for portraits such as soft lighting and theatre lighting, enabling you to produce studio-quality portraits.
Some photos we took using honor 10:
On the front, honor 10 have a 24 MP front camera that supports AI technology as well. It is supporting 3D face recognition which it will automatically detect over hundred facial points to enhance your selfie. Just like what its rear camera offers, you can make your own portrait art using the numerous lighting options. AR stickers are available for you to add effects to your selfies too!
Performance and Battery Life
Equipped with the powerful Kirin 970 processor and 4GB RAM, honor 10 could run those graphics and performance demanding games without a glitch. We tested it with a couple of games such as Vainglory, PUBG Mobile and Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition (using the highest graphics and FPS settings), no lagging was encountered at all.
The 64 GB / 128 GB internal storage is enough to store all the essential app if you are just an average user. honor 10 features a massive 3,400mAh battery so you can expect it to last a full day of regular use or a couple hours of gaming. It comes with the SuperCharge features that allow you to charge up the battery to 50% in 25 minutes.
The Verdict
Even though we don’t know about the price of honor 10 in Malaysia yet (which it will probably be around MYR 1700), it is packed with impressive features including the dual-lens camera, Kirin 970 processor with AI technologies and the long-lasting battery that is definitely worth more than its price.
