Honkai Star Rail Second CBT Announced

Honkai Star Rail has announced a second CBT, letting 100 lucky fans try out an early build of Hoyoverse’s new RPG.

Signups for Honkai Star Rail and its second CBT are open now, with winners announced on May 19th.

To comemmorate the opening of signups, Hoyoverse have even released a new trailer for the game, setting the tone for its story while also teasing upcoming characters for eagle-eyed fans.

These include both characters we’d already seen, such as Himeko and Bronya, as well as several new characters that had been previously leaked such as the character Kefka.

For those not in the loop, Honkai Star Rail is an offshoot of Honkai Impact 3rd, taking place  years after the events of the main game.

Unlike miHoYo’s other action-based titles, Star Rail features turn-based combat, where you build a team of characters to fight enemies with special moves.

We also get a better look at the Trailblazers- continuing the new trend of Hoyoverse featuring gender-customizable main characters for the player to control.

It looks like Honkai Star Rail might feature some sort of branching gameplay- both the trailer and its description make careful use of the phrase “Reach the ending of the story in your own way”, though there’s been little confirmation on the specifics of what that means.
