Honey Blood, also known as Bloody Sweet, is a webtoon from Lee Narae. It will be getting a mobile game adaptation going by the same name. There aren’t that many details about when the game will be available, but it will be a narrative-based game.
Honey Blood revolves around our heroine, Shin Naerim. Terminally shy in real life, she gets to express herself better online, with a wildly popular blog that also hosts her writing. She’s also a bullying victim, which obviously does not help. Only adding to her woes is being called “a witch”, being a daughter of a moodang, namely, a Korean shaman. Tempting fate that her life couldn’t possibly get any worse, she apparently ends up getting a vampire boyfriend. Huzzah!
The webtoon itself has been completed to read at your leisure. The game is promising to deliver a high level of immersion, which would likely turn out to be a visual novel. Voice announcements can be found on the official Twitter, with a sample clip of Shin Naerim you can watch and listen to. Looks like character models will be in live2D.

There’s plenty of webtoons expanding into games, either existing or in development, like Tower of God, God of Highschool, Solo Levelling and The Gamer (which seems to be in development hell). This is a chance for such works to break into the market saturated with Japanese anime to get a wider audience, so we’ll see how this works out.
