For those of the uninitiated, an ‘Oshi’ is a term that originated in Japanese idol culture and has been adopted by various fan communities, including anime, gaming, and VTuber fans. The word “oshi” comes from the Japanese verb “osu,” which means “to push” or “support.” This term generally refers to a particular idol, character, or performer that a fan strongly supports or is most dedicated to.
