As part of a crossover event between four Hololive talents and Megaton Musashi by Level-5 Games; Usada Pekora, Houshou Marine, Oozora Subaru and Inugami Korone were called over to dub a few selection of clips from the Megaton Musashi anime.
The 13 minute long video was only recently premiered over at Level-5’s official Youtube Channel and had the four Hololive members voice various clips from the beginning of the anime. The dub had Pekora voice the main character Yamato Ichidaiji, Korone voicing Teru Asami, Subaru as Ryugo Hijikata and lastly Marine as a handful of other characters.
During one of Pekora’s stream, she and Marine had talked about their experiences and thoughts about what it’s like to be part of the special event. In this clip by Jshay Translations, Marine jokingly mentioned how Pekora sounded better in this dub than she ever did in any of the Holo no grafitti (which are a bunch of short comedy sketches featuring the vtubers), to which Pekora replied that she practiced really hard for the dub.
While this crossover was just a promotional event for the upcoming Megaton Musashi X game coming out on 16th December 2022, it would be pretty interesting to see more Hololive members be part of the voice acting scene for more anime series.
Some instances where we’ve previously seen some Hololive members be part in an anime would be when Shirakami Fubuki and Natsuiro Matsuri appeared as themselves in The Detective Is Already Dead anime as well as Momosuzu Nene in The World’s Finest Assassin but as a side character.
