The physical edition of Weekly Playboy goes on sale today, and the official Hololive Twitter was very proud to showcase the page, which features an image of Momosuzu Nene.
It should be noted that despite the similar name, Weekly Playboy has no affiliation to the popular American Playboy brand, instead being published by Shueisha.
The preview page that’s been shown off doesn’t have any write ups on the selected women, so we have no idea if any particular part of Nene’s appeal is why she was selected as the Hololive representative for the list.
Momosuzu Nene is part of Hololive’s 5th generation alongside Shishiro Botan, Omaru Polka, Yukihana Lamy and the now-retired Mano Aloe. She’s known for her quirky and juvenile humor, using silly illustrations in her streams as additional props.
The other thing that sets her apart from other Vtubers is her approach to romantic confessions- while many of Hololive members typically steer away from the topic, Nene is best known for what the fans described as “Nene’s Husband Collection”- that is, that all fans are her husbands, including the women.
Part of her appeal comes from the back-and-forth with her fans, as some will jokingly try to divorce her only to be won over by her jokingly throwing a tantrum about them leaving.
