Hololive Figma Announced

Hololive is branching further into collectible figures, with a host of Hololive Figma announced at today’s Wonfes. The figures cover two separate generations of Hololive, and even includes static statues of the talents across Good Smile’s various lines of collectible figures.

No release date was given for any of the figures, and judging by how each line does things it’s more likely to be a gradual rollout of each talent, one-by-one rather than an all at once release.

As Hololive separates its talents by “generations”, the announcements from today’s Wonfes cover two different groups, namely the 3rd Generation “Holofantasy” and the more gaming oriented Hololive Gamers.

The promotional art of the Holofantasy Figma shows the whole generation, but currently only one of the poseable figure prototypes has been shown, featuring rabbit girl Usada Pekora.

However, it looks like for those who prefer their figures without the allowances for joints and the like, GoodSmile will also be producing statuettes of the Holofantasy characters, as they also showed off a statue prototype featuring Hoshou Marine, also from the Holofantasy generation.

Similarly, it’s not all just HoloFantasy. The earlier “Hololive Gamers” generation is also getting love via the Pop Up Parade line of figures by GoodSmile, featuring the members of that generation Fubuki, Mio, Okayu and Korone. These figures have a lower price point and no articulation. No prototypes were shown, however.

As Hololive continues to grow, the number of merchandising options only grows with them. Earlier we reported on the special plushies, also featuring the HoloFantasy generation. Previously, first-gen Hololive talent Natsuiro Matsuri was also announced to be the first talent getting her own Nendroid.

For the uninitiated, Hololive is the idol/entertainment company owned by Cover Corporation, whose main appeal is the use of animated avatars in lieu of having their talents appear on screen. This gives them a great deal of anonymity, as each of the avatars have their own in-universe backstory and lore.
