Hollow Knight: Silksong, the long-awaited sequel to the original Hollow Knight, has been listed on the Xbox Game Store, Steam, and other platforms.
On April 1st, 2024, Hollow Knight: Silksong was suddenly put up on the Xbox Game Store, with listings being added to other platforms such as Steam, GOG, and more soon after.
Even though the game is currently listed, there is still no additional information regarding the release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong, nor has there been any developer update on the sudden listing of the games.
And of course, due to the date on which it is listed, fans of the game were quite skeptical of the sudden listing, with many expressing their disbelief.

As of now, there seem to be no signs of the listing being a mere April Fool’s joke, as the developers have not removed the games from their respective store pages, So hopefully this means that more news of the game will be coming soon.
First revealed in 2019, Hollow Knight: Silksong is the sequel to Team Cherry’s critically acclaimed 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania game, Hollow Knight.
In 2022, the game received a trailer at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, which confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong be coming to the Xbox Game Pass on day one of its release, but no release date was announced then as well.
Matthew Griffin, the person in charge of marketing and publishing for Hollow Knight: Silksong, has said that the game was initially planned for release in early 2023, but has been delayed as the game has “gotten quite big”.
