IO Interactive and Feral Interactive announced that an enhanced version of Hitman: Blood Money, subtitled “Reprisal”, is coming to the Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices.
Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal is a revitalized version of the 2006 stealth game and it will launch this autumn for both Android and iOS devices, with a winter release for the Nintendo Switch.
Aside from the vague release window. no firm release date for Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal has been announced yet.
This enhanced version of Blood Money will have various new features, including various gameplay improvements derived from later games in the series, as well as a minimap.
One example of the gameplay improvement is the Instinct Mode which was first introduced in Hitman: Absolution, allowing protagonist Agent 47 to predict his target and civilian patrol routes.
The modernized Blood Money will also have 12 missions, each with a variety of different settings and a sandbox world for players to strategize their assassination route.
Hitman: Blood Money was originally released on 26 May 2006 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Windows PC, serving as the fourth installment to the series.
In Blood Money, Agent 47 has a contract to take down the Franchise, a rival assassin organization that is threatening his employers, the International Contract Agency (ICA).
In 2013, an HD port was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as part of the Hitman HD Trilogy collection.
Moving forward to 2019, a 4K resolution port of the game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection.
Announced along with IO Interactive’s 25th anniversary, the enhanced Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal will be available on Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
