A demo for action game Ultra Age from publisher Intragames and developers Next Stage and Visual Dart will be releasing today alongside the start of the game’s digital pre-orders. It’s a high-speed action game for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. They’ve even released a new trailer for Ultra Age to go along with the demo.
Ultra age was made using the Unreal Engine, allowing them to create an indie game with high-quality graphics, visuals, and action. Your character is equipped with a variety of swords for a variety of situations that you can face with limitless combos. Doing enough combos will create a burst of energy, a ‘Critical Rage’ that will help you bring down the final blow.
They’ve now released a free demo of the game on the PSN store and Nintendo E-Shop. You’ll be able to experience up to the mid-boss of Chapter 1. Just enough time to get acquainted with the combat system and let loose on some enemies.
The game reminds me a lot of bigger budget character action games like the kind Platinum Games is known for making. It’s a good effort from an indy studio.
Pre-orders for the game start from the 19th August of Playstation Store and Nintendo eShop with a 20% discount. A pretty nice enticement to get your pre-order in.
Ultra-age will be officially released on the 9th of September for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Here’s some previous footage of the game when it was first announced if you’d like to see more.
