Looks like even the developers at FromSoftware want to see a PC port of Bloodborne, as the studio’s president Hidetaka Miyazaki said.
In an interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki commented “I know for a fact these guys want a Bloodborne PC port.”
Miyazaki was seated alongside Elden Ring producer Yasuhiro Kitao and interpreter Bobby Simpson at the time, referring to both of them while answering.
“If I say I want one, I’ll get in trouble as well. But it’s nothing I’m opposed to.”
When the question regarding the PC port of the PlayStation 4-locked Bloodborne was asked, PC Gamer noted that it got a laugh from the FromSoftware staff.
This time, Miyazaki even further elaborated his stance.
“Obviously, as one of the creators of Bloodborne, my personal, pure honest opinion is I’d love more players to be able to enjoy it. Especially as a game that is now coming of age, one of those games of the past that gets lost on older hardware—I think any game like that, it’d be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past. So as far as I’m concerned, that’s definitely not something I’d be opposed to.”
Previously, when asked a similar question, Miyazaki expressed that he is happy to see fans calling for a Bloodborne remake.
Bloodborne fans, at this point, rival the Hollow Knight: Silksong community, in terms of becoming memes of the internet as clowns hoping for any sliver of news regarding their games.
Of course, now that Miyazaki expresses he wants to see Bloodborne on PC, FromSoftware developers want Bloodborne on PC… What about the publisher? Sony Interactive Entertainment, what are your plans?
Bloodborne fans are becoming hollows, hoping to revisit Yharnam again after 9 years.
