With Hololive Productions having such a vast cast of characters and with each of their talents having unique personality traits, it’s weird that there’s only a handful of Hololive Games that are currently available for us to play.
Sure, you could make the argument that some games out there that had Hololive Talents in their games like Phantasy Star Online 2 and Valkyrie Connect, but those are just collaboration events to games that have already been existed. And while it’s certainly cool to see Hololive talents being featured in some of our favourite games, it is not the same as a full on game that have the talents be the main characters of a full-on game.
As of time of writing, here are the list of notable official and fan games which feature the Hololive Talents:
- Hololive Error (Unreleased)
- Holoearth (Unreleased)
- Evil God Korone
- Aquarium (Unreleased)
- HoloCure (Fan Game)
- Kitsune no Tabiji (Fan Game)
From the list of games, there could be so much potential with the genre of games that the Hololive talents that could be featured in. And while I’m certainly no game developer (despite having a degree in computer games development), these are some of the genres that I would love to see in future Hololive Games, both official or fan games.
Hololive Fighting Game
Once again, I’m going to bring up the large cast of characters that Hololive has and how a Hololive fighting game would be pretty sick to have. One would say that the appeal for Super Smash Bros Ultimate would be it’s large character roster which features lovable characters from different series coming together into a game and I think the same could be said by featuring all the Hololive talents into one fighting game.
You could have the talents and some of their references, design or personality traits be part of their movesets, like having Kanata Amane as a Grappler.
Or you could have alternate skins and have a brand new set of movesets that incorporates with the alternate version of it, like with Ouro Kroni’s outfit from the illustration art on her cover on Mafia.
Mafia, but for her neutral special, she wields a GUN.

And alternatively, you can even have the talents and their fan mascots be either like an assist trophy or even have players pick a secondary Hololive character as a support unit like in Marvel vs Capcom 2 along with unique interactions between the characters if they have ties with each other, like an example being OkaKoro, TakaMori, etc.
Amelia Watson Roguelike
With Hololive English’s Amelia Watson’s lore be closely tied with alternate timelines, we could totally have a roguelike game where we play as Amelia and travel through the different timelines. Maybe visit in a timeline where the “smol” version of the Hololive talents are canon, or a timeline where the other HoloMyth members wreck havoc and it’s up to us to stop them? And eventually tie everything up together to get the game’s true ending and whatnot, the possibility is endless.
Kazama Iroha Hack and Slash Game
A Devil May Cry 5 inspired Hack and Slash game that features everyone’s favourite ninja- I mean samurai, Kazama Iroha from Hololive Generation 6 could be pretty interesting too. The game could be set in obligatory Edo-period of Japan where you can play as Iroha who is a hired bodyguard who goes around town protecting nobles from bandit groups and you could even throw in some backstory or lore on how Secret Society HoloX had came to be.
Hololive Rhythm Game + Visual Novel
I’m kind of surprised that there’s no official Hololive Rhythm Game because it would just make sense since in the end of the day, the Hololive talents are still idols. I were to make a Hololive Rhythm game, I wouldn’t just make it have only rhythm game aspects but also include in Visual Novel elements where you get to hang out with the Hololive members after you complete a song or performance.
These are just a glimpse of all the possibilities of the type of Hololive games that I personally would love to play. Do you have a Hololive game genre that you’d like to see? Let us know!
