In an exciting announcement at Jump Festa 2025, fans of the popular dark fantasy series Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku learned that a new video game adaptation is in development. Titled “Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle,” the survival RPG will launch on both PC and mobile platforms in 2025 as a free-to-play title with optional purchasable items.
The project brings together key creative talents from the anime adaptation, with MAPPA providing editorial supervision and Twin Engine contributing to planning. Anime series scriptwriter Akira Kindaichi will oversee the game’s scenario, while the musical score will be handled by returning composer Yoshiaki Dewa in collaboration with ZENTA. Good Smile Company has been announced as the game’s developer.
This gaming venture builds upon the success of Yūji Kaku’s original manga, which ran on Shonen Jump+ from January 2018 to January 2021, spanning 13 volumes. The series has enjoyed widespread distribution through Viz Media’s Shonen Jump service and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus platform, with Viz Media also publishing physical editions.
The announcement comes as the franchise continues to expand, with the anime adaptation’s first season having aired in April 2023 on TV Tokyo. The series is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll in multiple regions, including America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, with both subtitled and English dubbed versions. Netflix carries the series in select Asian-Pacific territories. Fans can look forward to the anime’s second season, scheduled to premiere on Crunchyroll in January 2026.
