In the patch, it is stated that they have implemented a function to kick players who have been idle for 15 minutes back to the title screen, a much-requested feature to stop players from hogging server space.
Many other changes were included in this patch as well, and you can read it here.
Helldivers 2 was released not too long ago on 8th February 2024 and has since been received with critical acclaim, increasing in popularity ever since its launch with no signs of slowing down. As of writing, the game has once again broken its concurrent peak numbers, with it rising to 457,649 peak concurrent players according to SteamDB.
However, the immense success also has its downsides, as the large number of players has caused a multitude of server and capacity issues that plague the game. Just a few days ago, the server capacity for Helldivers 2 was maxed out, and that was with a peak concurrent player number of 407, 293.
Helldivers 2 was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, it was released on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
