Hearthstone Battlegrounds Buddies: For your ranking helping hand

The next Hearthstone update will be seeing additions to both the Battlegrounds mode with its Buddies system, and the Mercenaries Village. Both updates will be hitting 25 January 2022.

HEARTHSTONE BATTLEGROUNDS BUDDIES

This system will grant a special minion unique to each Hero, each designed to synergize with a given Hero’s game plan. Fill up the Buddy Meter during combat, with each copy acting like a minion while in-hand and on the board. Have fun with each of the 75 Heroes and their own Buddies!

MERCENARIES VILLAGE UPDATE

The Training Grounds is a new space where your Mercenaries can passively gain experience. Just play as normal, completing Bounties, or other game modes, and the like, or even just sleeping. Balinda Stonehearth, Captain Galvangar, Lokholar, Wrathion, and Sinestra are also new Mercenaries. Other updates include Oval-Art of Portraits, and Mercenaries Card Back.

BOOK OF MERCENARIES: TAVISH STORMPIKE

Coming 1 February will open up Tavish Stormpike’s linear adventure. Overcome the Frostwolves, Horde mercenaries, angry Troggs, his own family, and food poisoning (?!) in this 8 boss adventure for 1 Hunter pack, only containing Standard Hunter cards.

Tavish or Rokara will be part of a Special Tavern Brawl on 26 January where you can select a mercenary companion for your hero power. Try finding all the unique dialogue interactions! First-time wins here reward one Standard card pack.

LUNAR NEW YEAR

Simply log in from 25 January to 8 February 2022 to get the free Dancing Lion Card Back. The Lunar Blessing Tavern Brawl runs from 2 to 9 February 2022, with Quests available from 2 to 16 February 2022.
