Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is an MMO strategy game and card collector set in the wizarding world. Players will take the role of a new student enrolled in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They will be meeting and interacting with familiar faces from the books/movies and original characters as well.
According to the Wizarding World Website “Fans will be able to customize their character accordingly and enjoy the many facets of wizarding world life, such as discovering your Hogwarts house, perusing supplies in Diagon Alley, learning spells that can be cast in the form of cards – and taking part in Duelling Club. There will also be an intriguing story running through the game as you accumulate magical knowledge – so expect to meet a few familiar characters – and some exciting new ones along the way.”
The game will also feature cross-platform play between iOS, Android, and PC connecting you to a worldwide web of wizards to duel and play with.
The game is a collaboration between Warner Bros subsidiary Portkey Games, and NetEase. Portkey Games (as their name implies) is a studio that is meant to specialize in developing and publishing Harry Potter and Wizarding World video games.
