NetEase Games and Warner Bros have just announced that the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened real-time card battle RPG will launch for mobile and PC in Japan and Asia this winter 2021. There will also be global launch, but details on that is scarce at the moment.
As previously reported, Warner Brothers had worked closely with NetEase Games to develop Harry Potter Magic Awakened. This game will be a character based card battle that will feature characters from the Harry Potter franchise. This game will be published under Portkey Games for China release purposes. Portkey Games will treasure this chance to push out a quality gameplay that will feature the original story that J.K Rowling had made.
With Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment’s experience in game designing, content creation and with NetEase Games’s productivity and quality with their productions, we can safely say that Harry Potter Magic Awakened will be a lookout for when it is released. Based on NetEase ZEN department, they mentioned that the game will retain everything the fans admired about Harry Potter’s spell/magic chanting, characters, and the creatures from the story. All of these will be in a specially designed theme that the fans will definitely love it. In terms of game content, the game will be taking a setting after the 2nd Wizarding War has ended a few year. As a player, you will be a student that got invited to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As you progress in the game, your character will learn different chants for magic/spells and you will get to be friends with a lot of other people. Each of your friends will have their different knowledge in Witchcraft and Wizardry that is specially and tactically designed for interesting combinations.
