Starcraft 2 is celebrating its 10th anniversary! To commemorate the decade, several player-requested features have been added to the Starcraft 2 10th anniversary patch. A few extras have been added to the patch too, which players will hopefully enjoy!
The biggest patch to date sees updates to the Galaxy Map Editor, new campaign achievements, and new prestige talents for every co-op commander.
Matches for the Starcraft 2 All-Stars War Chest Team League have already begun, with all the matches available for viewing on the Starcraft Youtube channel. Each of the nine teams competing in this league are captained by a pro caster, bringing their top-tier casting chops and insider knowledge. Who will win?
Besides that, a new series of short stories are released, set in Starcraft‘s Koprulu Sector. One will be focused on each race, beginning with “One People, One Purpose” by Alex Acks.
The development team are also recounting high-flying moments, personal favourites and unforgettable upsets from the last decade of Starcraft 2 esports.
Last but not least, logging in any time from today until 11 August will unlock a new announcer, the protoss-playing mastermind White-Ra, for free!
Blizzard thanks all the fans for their support throughout the years, here’s to more! Details regarding the 10th anniversary patch can be found here.
