While the Japanese version is busy hitting its pre-registration goals, Haikyuu: Touch the Dream appears to also be slated for release on Korean mobile devices. You can watch a trailer for it below:
As with the Japanese release, you can pre-register for Haikyuu: Touch the Dream through the Korean website, though you’ll need a valid mobile number as is usually the case. Rewards include a variety of resources as well as Hinata Shouyou as a unit. You can check out their official Twitter and Naver forums for updates and character teasers.
The Japanese version has meanwhile hit the 250,000 pre-registration milestone. Players will be getting resources including presumably stamina items, gold, and gacha currency. 3,000 currency is enough for 10+1 pulls in the gacha. The JP Twitter is continuing to tease characters that will be appearing in the game in lieu of announcing anything else besides social media campaigns, among other things.
Of note, not all the characters featured have little 3D chibi models which are their in-game appearances. Besides the usual upgrade systems shown in a teaser video, gameplay looks to be a form of rock-paper-scissors where you can choose “block” against “attack” cards. Granted, it’s also a little hard to see in such a short clip.
There’s no indication of a global release at this point and any English text you see through the Play Store is most definitely machine-translated, but you can stay tuned for further announcements.
