Capcom has announced a collaboration between Monster Hunter and sports anime Haikyuu, bringing the bonds of high school volleyball to Kamura village.
The collaboration will be held at both Aeon Lake Town and Ikebukuro venues of the Capcom Cafe, and will feature art of the boys from Haikyuu in armor sets from Monster Hunter Rise.
The cafe will run from April 15th to May 19th, and Capcom have said to stand by for more news about the specifics of the cafe such as special menu items and any merchandise available.
While full details haven’t been revealed, Capcom have confirmed that once they are you’ll be able to make your reservations online so you can check out the cafe for yourself.
It’s definitely the oddest collaboration Monster Hunter has had so far- though the legions of fans of hot volleyball boys will probably have little to complain about seeing their favorite characters dressed like Guild-certified Monster Hunters.
Interestingly enough this isn’t the first time Capcom has put anime characters into Monster Hunter gear, with rhythm game D4DJ having two separate Monster Hunter collabs in the past.
Monster Hunter is by and large one of Capcom’s most popular franchises, only second to Street Fighter.
