Sunrise has announced Gundam UC Engage, an upcoming mobile game featuring various mobile suit pilots from the Gundam Universal Century, due out some time in 2021.
The game will have you compete in 6v6 battles, with auto battle controls so you can enjoy it casually. It looks like the minutia of controlling your mobile suit will be handled by the game, though you might have to manually activate unit skills to turn the tide of battle.
Update: Read more about the gameplay here.
Gundam UC Engage will release on Android and iOS devices, though it looks like the game will be limited to a Japanese release for now, with no English release announced yet.
Based on the title and from the gameplay we’ve seen in the first PV, it looks like the selection of mobile suits will be limited to the Universal Century timeline, with characters like Amuro Ray from the original Mobile Suit Gundam as well as the Moon Gundam and Unicorn Gundam.
That being said, we’ll have to wait for more information when they have another presentation on November 16th for more information around the game.
This isn’t the only Gundam mobile game releasing- the Iron Blooded Orphans spinoff mobile game has also been in production for a while, but has yet to release.
While there’s been no official statement, there’s a good chance the game might come to the west, following similar plans for another Gundam game announced this year, Gundam Evolve.
