Gundam UC Engage has announced its next in-game story event, named 0079 Gibraltar coming to the mobile title.
In a new trailer, they showed off that the 0079 Gibraltar event is bringing a chapter of Gundam The Origin to UC Engage.
Based on Chapter 66 from Volume 5 of Gundam The Origin, the story talks about eternal rivals Amuro Ray and Char Aznable having one more duel at the Straits of Gibraltar.
As is UC Engage’s forte, the event will also include all-new animated cutscenes- featuring Amuro and Char going at it in their mobile suits.
It looks like the in-game version of the event will be told from Char’s perspective, with the trailer discussing how the objective would be to destroy the Gundam, as opposed to the manga’s Federation perspective.
Events like these are part of what earned Gundam UC Engage a positive reputation among Gundam fans- exploring lesser known parts of Gundam canon as well as giving a fresh coat of paint to older footage.
Gundam UC Engage is an auto battle game based on the Mobile Suit Gundam Universal Century timeline, allowing you to collect various mecha from the popular anime series.
Players collect mobile suits to build squads, and need to position them properly as well as equip them with pilots to boost their abilities.
