Sunrise has announced the release date for season 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, which was set to come out some time in April.
According to the official website, season 2 of The Witch From Mercury will release on 9th April, airing every Sunday just like the original season.
Whether or not it would be broadcast internationally on the GundamInfo YouTube channel also has yet to be announced.
There’s still no news on what direction Season 2 will go in, since Sunrise has been tight-lipped about releasing any kind of trailers- the last season ends on a pretty big cliffhanger regarding love interests Miorine and Suletta, and it makes sense that they’d hide how they plan to resolve it.
In addition, Famitsu reports that there would be installations from the series at Shibuya Station in Japan, including a Witch From Mercury EXPO with information about the upcoming season.
This exhibition will run from March 10th to March 12th, and will be alongside posters set up for the anime all around the station from March 6th to March 14th.
The Witch From Mercury has been a breakout hit for the Gundam series, thanks largely in part to its freedom from the baggage of other Gundam series timelines.
