Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will begin worldwide streaming in fall 2024.
The Netflix exclusive show has not revealed any official date yet, but has confirmed fall 2024 for the release of the CG-animated show.
In the latest trailer released with the announcement, we get to see more of the iconic mobile suits in action, with the main highlight being the Red Wolves, a squad of Zaku pilots and their interactions with each other, both in and out of combat.
According to the official description on the YouTube trailer, the show will consist of six 30-minute episodes focusing on the European front of the One Year War. Veterans of the series might recognize the name as the setting of “Mobile Suit Gundam”, which was the first show of the franchise.
Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is being produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. Present in collaboration with SAFEHOUSE Inc. using Unreal Engine 5 and is directed by Erasmus Brosdau of Warhammer 40k fan animation fame.
Fans are looking forward to seeing the mobile suits in action, but have expressed concern over whether the animation and voice action would be able to properly convey the movements and expressions of the human characters.
