Netflix has confirmed that the upcoming CG animated series Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance will be exclusive to the platform.
In a new trailer, we finally get to see more mobile suit action in the upcoming anime, as well as how the pilots look like without their helmets on.
“In joint production with SAFEHOUSE, Inc. we’re going back to the One Year War. Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance coming soon, only on Netflix“, the tweet from Netflix reads (emphasis our own).
No release date has been given yet for the series, however, as the teaser only mentions the platform exclusivity for it.
As was previously revealed, it looks like Gundam Requiem For Vengeance will be largely focusing on the Zeon perspective- the new trailer shows off the Red Wolves, a squad of Zaku pilots who encounter the Gundam for the first time.
It’s also the first peek we have of the stylized mobile suits in motion- many fans had been concerned about some of the artistic liberties, particularly with the proportions on the Gundam itself.
Requiem For Vengeance is one of two major Gundam projects in production, alongside Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom, an interactive VR movie that was teased at Anime NYC.
