Gundam Battle Operation 2 finally has a release date for the PC client, with pre downloads available now via Steam.
According to Bandai Namco Entertainment, Gundam Battle Operation 2 will release for PC on 31st May 2023, with servers opening at 1PM GMT+8.
Unfortunately, the game will be a separate build to the console version- you won’t be able to carry progress or even cross-play between versions.
The PC build will instead start at v 0.166, which also featured the Atlas Gundam from Gundam Thunderbolt.
Gundam Battle Operation 2 is a free to play squad-based shooter, where you control various mobile suits from the Universal Century timeline.
It sports a wide variety of gameplay options, from ground-based missions to even space combat, completing missions like holding objectives.
On top of that players can also exit their mobile suits, as well as hijack other suits if they so desired as well as call in airstrikes.
Gundam Battle Operation was previously described as one of the main esports titles by Bandai Namco Entertainment, alongside Gundam Evolution as part of their Gundam Metaverse Project.
Putting the game on PC would be a way to access more players, since the main build is PS4 and PS5 exclusive, limiting its playerbase.
