Gunbound is a popular PC game back in the 2000s. For those of us who are familiar with the game, it may bring us back to memory lane playing this game on PC. Now the game is released for Mobile, dubbing the game’s name GunboundM. The game is now available for download for both iOS and Android devices.
Just like the PC version, it is a classic turn-based artillery game with a few changes for the mobile. In the classic Gunbound game, we were only able to control our single artillery mobile, however this time we will be able to control up to 3 mobiles on turn. So it is a 3 vs 3 matchup against another player with 3 mobiles.
Players will be able to customize their team with different artillery mobiles from the avatar shop. The game is free-to-play still but with in-game purchases for the “gacha” artillery mobiles. The controls are just like the PC version except that there is a bullet guide path with dotted lines to help players aim their shots. This feature was brought up by players in the reviews that said to be ruining the game’s essence as it was never present in the PC version, though the bullets are still affected by wind so players will still need to adjust their aim.
However one of the unique features in GunboundM currently is that, there is a single player AI battle system called Battle Training. In this mode, players will be able to use their team to play against the AI for practice and earn rewards.
Gunbound is still popular on PC among veteran players. With the release of GunboundM, the game is set to attract more new players in the mobile market. Both the PC version and Mobile version are pretty much the same except for some features that were not ported over onto the mobile version. If you are interested, download it now and enjoy the game on both PC and Mobile!
