Animation studio SANZIGEN Studios, known for co-producing the recent Ishura anime, Black Rock Shooter, and various CGI animations of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, just to name a few, will be handling the production.
The studio also previously produced the music video “Find Your One Way” for the game protagonist Sol Badly for Guilty Gear -Strive-.
Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers will be directed by Shigeru Morikawa, who has previously worked on Argonavis the Movie: Axia, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and Project A-Ko.
Others attached to the project include Guilty Gear writer Norimitsu Kaihō for series composition and Seiji Mizushima, known for Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Fullmetal Alchemist, as associate producer.
The first trailer has also been announced to be showcased at Anime Expo 2024, taking place in Los Angeles, California from July 4 to July 7, 2024.
The “GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS – Special Event” panel will take place on July 4, 2024, at Anime Expo Main Events Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
Fans attending will get to learn more about the anime with behind-the-scenes info as well as receive a poster of the anime while stock lasts.
As the name implies, the anime will be based on the latest title in the fighting game series, Guilty Gear -Strive-, which recently introduced returning character Slayer back to the game.
