Arc System Works has announced the release date for the third DLC character to hit Guilty Gear Strive, named Happy Chaos.
Like previous DLC characters, Happy Chaos will release for Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass holders earlier on November 30th, before being open for individual sale December 3rd.
It looks like Happy Chaos will be more of a zoner character, using his guns to do powerful attacks. However, similar to characters like Naoto from Persona and Sion from Melty Blood, he has an ammo resource, and players will have to manage the ammo by reloading.
It’s also not like you’ll be sneaking potshots from long range, either. His guns appear to work on a lock on mechanic similar to Elphelt’s sniper rifle from Xrd, meaning the further away he is the logner he’ll need to train a crosshair on them before he can fire.
Happy Chaos was one of the major antagonists of Guilty Gear Strive’s story mode, and continues the trend of the game’s DLC season pass all being story-relevant.
The character was revealed at the Red Bull Kumite tournament, and Happy Chaos rounds off the DLC announcements for the game this year, with the next one only being announced some time in 2022.
