Aside from gold and Honors, Unicorn Overlord also has other forms of currencies such as Divine Shards and Star Iron, which can be exchanged for some pretty powerful gear and items. These currencies can be earned from exploring the overworld or through quests, but they are limited.
This means that if you are looking to purchase everything from Ochlys or other Divine Shard Exchange shops, what you gathered from the overworld may not be enough. The thing is, some of the items in the shop are extremely powerful and desirable, such as the Gran Baris great shield, which grants debuff immunity.
Star Iron falls in a similar boat, allowing you to trade it for some equipment with high guarding capabilities at the eastern side of Bastorias from Ithilion. All of these weapons, the Meteorite Weapons, have impressive stats, especially in terms of damage and its effects, making them great equipment for the end game. Not to mention that the amount of weapons you could get from trading Star Iron is infinite, so you could build up your army all equipped with them.

To farm up Star Iron and Divine Shards, mining would be your best shot.
There are 5 mining areas known as Quarry in Fevrith, scattered across different regions with different costs for entry:
Cornia – 200 G
Drakenhold – 400 G
Elfheim – 600 G
Bastorias – 800 G
Albion – 1 000 G
The Quarry in Albion is the most expensive, but it gives you the most time to mine around while also granting you higher drop rates for items.
Through either regular mining or initiating Mighty Dig, you could acquire Divine Shards, Star Iron, and Fevrite. It is more efficient to initiate Mighty Dig instead as you could skip the whole 200 (Divine Shards) and 450 (Star Iron and Fevrite) mining minigame, saving up time but note that it is completely randomized, so you require some luck.
Here is a little trick to efficiently utilize Mighty Dig, essentially use it immediately if there are less than 5 seconds left. Otherwise, only use it once you maxed out the gauge and in an open space, that way you could earn more loot. If time is not a concern and you find a treasure nearby, finish digging up the treasure first, even if you have maxed out the gauge. The reason is that everything you execute Mighty Dig, treasures are reset.
Once Mighty Dig is triggered, always go for the time extensions first before anything else. If items are not picked up after the dig, they will not be counted into the reward pool, so always remember to collect everything. We hope this guide helps you out efficiently grinding up Divine Shards and Star Iron to further bolster your army.
