Twisted Wonderland should really be played with form over function in mind, but if you’re one of those who would prefer “meta”, here’s a card tier list to help you get started. The Japanese release had an in-built reroll function, so you can keep on trying for the best possible start on your journey of husbandry. At time of writing, there’s yet to be announcements for the game to be released outside of North America, so stay tuned.

Things to note about this Twisted Wonderland card tier list:
- A single attribute card means they only have one weakness, so it can be easier to manage
- Don’t discount SR cards! Team composition allows even lower rarity ones to shine thanks to Support skills
- If nothing changes, not all characters will have their SSRs in the initial pool
- Rankings are according to UTILITY ONLY e.g. stats, skills
CARD | RANKING | NOTES | ALSO AIM FOR |
---|---|---|---|
RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS | S | Basically the best attack stat wise to start. | |
LEONA KINGSCHOLAR | S | Second highest stats. | |
TREY CLOVER | A | Great for long battles. Has healing skill. | |
JACK HOWL | A | Brings high ATK buff. Overall strong. | |
CATER DIAMOND | B | Brings large ATK debuff. | |
RUGGIE BUCCHI | B | Brings large DMG down debuff. | |
ACE TRAPPOLA | C | High ATK, has a 3-turn buff. | |
DEUCE SPADE | C | High HP. | |
The S-rank cards, Riddle Rosehearts and Leona Kingscholar, have high staying power due to their sheer offensive stats.
Deuce, Trey and Ruggie are all beneficial for the boss of the first story chapter as they have the advantageous element. However, they’re all defensive leaning and rely on taking advantage of elemental weaknesses, as they do not otherwise have as much damage compared to more dedicated attackers. If you still want them anyway, picking up SRs with high attack power will help compensate, in particular:
With a good enough starting line-up, you’ll hopefully be able to save up for the later cards much easier, as this game does have limited series and birthday cards. Good luck in your journey to the Twisted Wonderland.
