Cocoa Cookie is the latest cookie to be added to the Cookie Run Kingdom. This cute little cookie spends her time staying warm with nice hot cocoa. So hot in fact, that it burns her enemies.
Here is our guide for using Cocoa Cookie.

The Skills of Cocoa Cookie
Cocoa Cookie is a defense-type cookie who fights on the front row. This means that she is supposed to act as a tank, protecting squishier party members in the back row from getting too much damage.
Her skill is called ‘Cocoa is Life’. Cocoa Cookie spins in a giant cup of cocoa towards the enemies. While doing this she will also restore a slight bit of HP while also making than immune to being stunned. She herself also becomes immune to interrupting effects while in the cocoa cup. Her regular attack will also heal the three weakest allies.
Her skill stats are:
- 15-sec Cooldown
- Single hit DMG: 41.7% (+0.57% per level)
- Healing: 42.8% (+0.58% per level) of ATK
- Stun Immunity: 8.0 sec
How Good is Cocoa Cookie?
Cocoa Cookie’s main skill is pretty useful. Her giant cocoa mug pushes back opponents while damaging them and healing. This gives her a real keep-away game feel, particularly when it comes to PvE. The mug’s wide attack window can really stagger your opponent’s back a few spaces. It can even hit the more annoying, snipe you from distance-type enemies.
The fact that it also prevents stunning is a major strength, as it means other party members can take advantage of Cocoa’s attack to dish out skills of their own and attack enemies without worrying about attacks getting canceled by a dizzy spell or just giving them room to breathe for a couple of seconds while opponents are occupied. If you’re playing PvP, this can be really helpful against Sea Fairy Cookie and her stun abilities. Basically, Cocoa is good at creating space for the rest of the team to act.
She is also unique in that she’s the only cookie other than the legendary Pure Vanilla Cookie that heals themself as for their regular attack instead of inflicting damage. It doesn’t heal a lot but it can help her last longer while going up against enemies.
It should be noted the price for this is not having the best attack. Her skill doesn’t do that much damage and much like Moon Rabbit Cookie, her healing, while helpful, is not a substitute for an actual healer class. The healing you get isn’t really effective enough to be reliable for restoring the party.
This means she’ll have to rely on other cookies to deal damage and heal the party. I’d recommend that you have a couple of good DPS cookies, like charge or magic types to fight alongside her. Personally, I used her with Dark Choco Cookie and Frost Queen Cookie, and the combination of pushing enemies back, freezing, and dark lighting strikes was chillingly effective.
Basically, she’s a tank that fulfills her job of being a tank.
The Best Toppings
I found that the best toppings to use for Cocoa Cookie are either solid almond (damage resist) or swift chocolate (cooldown), or a combination of both. Solid almonds will simply further enhance her core strength of the defense.
Swift chocolate benefits her since it allows her to use her skill more frequently. Being able to have it on standby for specific enemies can also be incredibly handy when planning out a team strategy for certain maps.
Who is Cocoa Cookie
Cocoa has migrated over to Cookie Run Kingdom from OvenBreak. She has a new story mode featuring the previously released Mint Choco Cookie (did you know their Korean voice actors are married, it’s very cute).
Here is what her bio has to say about Cocoa Cookie:
“Even if her dough is 80% cocoa, she’s always sipping hot cocoa, even during the summertime. Her marshmallow hat is so deliciously sweet, she needs to resist the temptation of taking a chunk out of it and dipping it into her cup. Her plump smooth cheeks just add to her charm!! When she indulges in a freshly prepared cup of cocoa, all her worries melt away.”
Overall she sounds like she’s just having a cozy, relaxing time with a nice cup of cocoa. What more could you ask for during the holiday season.
Cookie Run Kingdom is available for iOS and Android.
