[ Guide ] Rune Factory 5 easy money guide – Earn 500,000 G early game

Get rich quick schemes shouldn’t be trusted in real life, but in Rune Factory 5, here’s actually a legitimate guide to make tonnes of money. This method can be done extremely early in the game and can be repeated whenever you need the extra G.

Step 1 – Get Elsje in your party

Priscilla’s sister is your secret to financial freedom. You’ll need to get her to join your party. To do this, you’ll either need to level up your relationship to at least level 3, or equip the Companion Crest which you can get from capturing all one-star Wanted Monsters.

Step 2 – Hurt yourself

The easiest part of this guide. To reduce your HP to low levels, you can easily drain your RP to 0 by just about any activity, such as spamming the ZL button by throwing spell seals. Alternatively, you can just get hit by monsters (don’t die) or eat items that reduce your health. Once your HP is about 1/4 or less, you can move on to step 3.

Step 3 – Go into combat, don’t get hit by Elsje’s food

Make sure Elsje is set to “Stay Close”. If you tell her to “Hold Still”, this wouldn’t work. Go and look for monsters to fight, but avoid killing them or getting yourself killed. It is highly recommended to save first before proceeding.

As long as your HP is low and monsters are trying to kill you, Elsje’s AI will throw food at you in regular intervals to heal you. The items she throws range from food like Onigiri, to Royal Curry, which sells for a whopping 500,000 G! Thankfully, Royal Curry is thrown at a fairly reasonable rate. I received one in less than 5 minutes upon attempting this method.

Whereas in the earlier Japanese version of the game, you can just stand still, let the game run and get a lot of Royal Curry, the game has been patched so that if you get hit by Elsje’s thrown item, you’ll instantly eat it instead of it going into your inventory. Thus, when you see Elsje holding an item about to throw at you, you must dodge it at all costs. As long as you don’t get hit by it, you can pick it up from the ground and keep it in your inventory.

Once more, do save before attempting this. If you get hit by Elsje’s food, your HP will be healed, so it’s recommended to reload when this happens. Once you’re satisfied with enough Royal Curry that you picked up, you can move on to step 4 and make serious money in Rune Factory 5.

Step 4 – Ship Royal Curry, Get Money

Head to your shipping bin and put Royal Curry inside of it. Each Royal Curry sells for 500,000 G, so you can easily earn millions if you sell more. The contents of the shipping bin are sold at 8.00 am every morning, so enjoy being the wealthiest person in all of Norad once that happens.
