Who’s the good boy? Pickles is, and not only that, he is arguably one of the most versatile Arcanists in Reverse: 1999, striking a good balance of damage output, buffing support, and dispel.

One aspect of him that allows him to be such a flexible Arcanist is his passive, Proposition, which allows the pup to chill out every other turn as he would gain 1 stack of Clarified Topic whenever he takes no action. Every time Pickles gain Clarified Topic, not only does he enhances his next Incantation, but also receive 1 Moxie.

This essentially made Pickles extremely AP generous, allowing him to just relax while his Ultimate recharged naturally. When Pickles does cast his Ultimate, Thus Spoke Pickles, he will grant the entire team a buff that increases DMG Dealt by 30% for 2 rounds. If the good boy still has a stack of Clarified Topic, the buff extends by 1 more round.

On top of all that, Pickles outputs decent damage while also possessing the ability to dispel Stats Up, Pos Status, and Counter from up to 2 enemies through his second skill, Hedonism Implement. Being AP-generous while having a big buff that boosts all damage types, as well as dealing decent damage. Given his flexibility, Pickles can easily fit into any team and up against all sorts of situations.

Psychubes 

For gearing up Pickles with cute doggie costumes and Psychube, Luxurious Leisure, would easily be one of the best options. The Psychube grants Pickles a good amount of damage boost as it casts his Ultimate and since he generates Moxie regularly, thus gains stacks at a frequent pace.

Alternatively, you can go with Hopscotch, which also bolsters his Ultimate damage while Brave New World enhances Incantation Might as Pickles casts his Ultimate. For survivability, you can also go with His Bounden Duty, restoring HP to Pickles as he defeats his enemies.

Synergies

By having a versatile kit, Best Boy Pickles can virtually fit into any team, especially those focusing on Mental Damage. Since Pickles can just wait patiently and act every so often, he can even synergize with AP-hungry allies such as Melania, Centurion, and so on, especially when it comes to providing the main DPS with a huge damage buff.

Practically any team that can benefit from buffs, Pickles will make a fine addition. There are still Arcanists that do not synergize as well with Pickles, however, such as those that rely on Critical Hits like Lilya.

Pickles is a good boy. His versatility makes him a valuable asset to many teams and he offers a team-wide buff that would make any DPS blush in joy.

What’s more, his passive rewards him for relaxing and taking turns off, granting Moxie along the way and ramps up the charges to gain his Ultimate quick. This makes him incredibly AP generous thus fitting into teams where there are some rather AP-hungry folks like Melania.
