Laplace, the leader of Matis squad, coming from Missilis is now here alongside the Light of Hero update in Nikke: Goddess of Victory.
She is an SSR Burst Type 3 Iron Attacker using a Rocket Launcher that can cover an impressive range and also has the ability to deal Pierce and True damage.
Laplace Kit
Her first skill is “Hero Vision” and it activates when you fully charge her attacks. Her Vision increases the range of her explosion and can stack up to a total of 5 times.
Her second skill is “Hero Bomber” and it increases the damage of her attacks under two conditions. On her last bullet that hits an enemy or when you are attacking the Boss Parts.
Laplace’s Burst Skill is “Laplace Buster” which changes her Rocket Launcher into a Railgun with the Pierce effect. When her “Hero Vision” is fully stacked while her Burst is up, she’ll be able to deal true damage with her railgun.
Strength
Laplace’s strength is her ability to take on multiple enemies much easier compared to other Rocket Launcher and Shotgun NIKKEs thanks to her Hero Vision. When fully stacked, she becomes the queen of AoE.
Laplace is also one of the few NIKKEs that changes her weapon type when her Burst is active and the added Pierce effect and the ability to deal true damage is an amazing addition to her Burst.
Weakness
Laplace’s main weakness is the short duration of her skills. By herself, she’ll have a hard time to get her Hero Vision to full stacks since each stack lasts for 5 seconds and fully charging a shot without a buff takes 3 seconds.
Laplace’s railgun, while amazing for rapid fire, also only lasts for 5 seconds and you’ll find it a hard time to use on agile enemies, especially bosses that teleport.
Should You Pull?
If the hero aesthetics that she brings is to your liking, then for sure go ahead and pull for her. However, for those on the fence, it is best to skip on Laplace if you already have a solid Burst III NIKKE. She’ll also be added to the general pool after her banner so she can spook your pulls anytime.
She does however shine better for those that are already progressing deep into the campaign. The enemies’ spawns in large numbers there and with proper support, Laplace can clear those mobs very quickly for you.
