[ Guide ] Monster Hunter Stories 2: Post Game EXP and Nutriment Farm Tips

FARMING EXP

The best quest you can get for EXP will be the 8-star Trial Quest to Slay Khezu and Barioth.

With a 25% EXP bonus from a level 20 Prayer Pot + Training Charms, you can get roughly 12k EXP per battle. The battle itself gives ~9k EXP, while the quest completion gives 3.75k. It’s the most efficient way to level both your main character and the 5 other tag-along Monsties.

Both Khezu and Barioth are weak to Fire, so equip high-rank Fire elemental weapons. Additionally, avoid bringing a Monstie that has a Fly action and / or a Monstie with Breath genes. This is to avoid your chances of having aerial or breath showdowns, as they take the longest time.

You can, of course, still have a Monstie with either Fly or Breath, just know that the fight will take longer.

FARMING NUTRIMENTS

Nutriments can be obtained for free, so don’t spend any Bottle Caps on those from Melynx Inc.

What you should get from Melynx Inc is the Expedition Slot upgrade, for a total of SIX Expedition Slots. Set Expedition instructions to Treasure Hunter so that your Monsties will focus on finding items.

Here are the Fields you should focus on:

It goes without saying you should send Monsties according to the Field Typing, and send out Six Monsties per field to get the best possible yield. You can get around 1 – 5 Nutriments per Expedition depending on your luck.
