Assigned to assist Poli temporarily, Quiry accidentally stumbles into the Special Recruit of Goddess of Victory: Nikke in the A.C.P.U.! FREEZE! story event.
Quiry is a police officer from A.C.P.U. who is temporarily assigned to assist Poli. Despite her being a Nikke, she has rather poor eyesight, thus resulting in a disastrous recipe when combined with her extraordinary physical strength.
Quiry is a Wind Code, Burst III, SSR Supporter class Nikke who wields the Cloud Eye Rocket Launcher and is part of the Elysion line.
Note that this guide will be an early first impression of the newly released character, and her overall performances and usability may differ over time.
Skill Kit (values based on Skill Level 10)
Her Skill 1, Glance, is a passive ability that has two effects and they are as follows:
- Activates upon hitting a target with a Full Charge, decreasing its ATK by 8.94% of Quiry’s ATK for 3 seconds.
- When attacking with Full Charge, two Defender allies will have their ATK increased by 5.81% of Quiry’s ATK for 3 seconds.
Her second Skill, Scutiny, activates immediately upon entering battle and grants two Defender allies continuously Max HP increases by 11.63%.
Lastly, her Burst Skill, Deep Stare, is an active ability with a 40-second cooldown time and has the following effects:
- Upon activation, all allies recover 6.96% of Quiry’s final Max HP every 1 second for 10 seconds.
- Upon activation, all Defender teammates gain a 19.9% Critical Rate for 10 seconds.
Skill Breakdown
Based on Quiry’s kit, she is a Supporter meant to assist Defender allies, granting them various beneficial effects to provide them advantages in battle. All three of her abilities have interactions with Defender allies thus she is meant to be in a team with powerful Defenders.
Her Skill 1 will grant 2 Defender allies with a damage increase whenever she fires her Rocket Launcher with a Full Charge. Since the activation criteria only require her to attack, this means that the buff can stay almost permanently active the entire battle. However, the numbers are on the low side.
As such, Quiry is not worth running for the damage boost alone, but rather her other abilities.
Meanwhile, her Burst Skill grants a powerful continuous healing effect on all allies, thereby bolstering the squad’s survivability. While the Critical Rate increases for Defender allies may not be substantial, they can be a welcome addition to certain teams.
Her Skill 2, however, is arguably the most appealing aspect of her kit, immediately granting 2 Defenders with continuous Max HP increase upon entering battle. Of course, boosted survivability aside, the Skill synergizes with one of the recent DPS monsters added to the game, 2B of the NieR: Automata collab.
You see, 2B scales her attack off her Max HP, so the more she gains, the more devastating her damage output will be. As Quiry grants Max HP continuously right from the get-go, 2B would hug her and then send the Raptures into the scrapyard. Such synergy made it feel almost as though Quiry is designed solely for 2B.
Final Thoughts
From the early impression reading her kit, yes, Quiry has great skill effects but the numbers feel rather low, making her not worth pulling for as other Nikke would probably provide better support capabilities to the team.
A key downside of Quiry is that she is a Burst III Supporter, competing with the only other unit in such a position in the form of Sparkling Summer Anis, who is a meta unit. The issue is that the position of Burst III is usually reserved for DPS characters and Sparkling Summer Anis is viable because she contributes in massive damage buff.
Sure, Quiry’s Burst Skill has a powerful healing effect, but considering that you can already get plenty of health restoration from Burst I or Burst II supporters such as Rapunzel and Naga, there is no reason to run her for her medical capabilities.
That said, given the Max HP continuous increase from her Skill 2 having powerful synergy with 2B, one of the strongest DPS units currently. You can consider for Quiry if you already own a 2B and are ready to unleash destruction.
