The happy-go-lucky and magnanimous Naga is joining the playable cast of Goddess of Victory: Nikke in the upcoming DAZZLING CUPID story event.
Naga is the spiritual glue that holds her squad, Dazzling Pearl together. She dotes on the forgetful Tia like an older sister. While she appears mature, she has the tendency to indulge in impulse purchases if there is an accessory that catches her eye.
Naga is an Electric Code, Burst II, SSR Supporter class Nikke who wields the Elegant Nocturne Shotgun and is part of the Missilis line.
Note that this guide will be an early first impression of the newly released character, and her overall performances and usability may differ over time.
Skill Kit (values based on Skill Level 10)
Her Skill 1, Guardian of Friendship, is a passive ability with 2 effects and they are as follows:
- HP Recovery of all allies behind Cover increased by 14.57% after Naga shot 12 times.
- When a Shield is applied, increases all allies’ damage dealt when attacking cores by 85.17% for 10 seconds.
Her second Skill, Support of Friendship, activates when Naga performs 5 normal attacks and provides allies with the following effects:
- The 2 allies with the highest ATK will have their damage dealt when attacking cores increased by 40.07% for 5 seconds.
- The 2 allies with the lowest HP percentage will recover 9.58% of Naga’s final MAX HP as HP.
Lastly, her Burst Skill, As Long As We’re With Friends, is an active ability with a 20-second cooldown. When activated, the following effects will happen:
- Naga will gain Pierce for 10 seconds.
- All allies will have their ATK increased by 16.18% of Naga’s ATK for 10 seconds.
- During the duration, when a Shield is applied, all allies gain an additional 31.02% of Naga’s ATK as ATK for 10 seconds.
Skill Breakdown
Based on her kit, Naga is going to be a strong support who is able to provide the team with plenty of utilities, albeit with a few caveats.
Her Skill 1, Guardian of Friendship, provides the team with 2 effects, each with its own activation condition.
The first effect activates after 12 shots by Naga and increases the HP recovery of allies while they are behind cover. Since Naga is wielding a shotgun, a firearm with limited shots per reload, the HP recovery boost activation will not trigger as frequently.
It is also important to note that enemies can destroy covers, reducing her effectiveness. It is still a nice bonus to have nonetheless, providing the team with some healing as the battle goes on.
For the second effect of Guardian of Friendship, if Naga gains a Shield, increases allies’ damage against cores. Since Naga herself does not grant Shields to the team, you will have to pair her up with an ally who can apply Shields, such as the upcoming Tia, Aria, and Poli.
On the other hand, her Skill 2, grants allies certain buffs based on their current stats, the 2 of the highest ATK units will gain damage increase to core, while the 2 lowest HP teammates will recover their HP. A powerful ability that provides a balance of offense and defense.
Running a Shield-providing character alongside Naga is indeed essential as her Burst Skill also grants bonus effects if there are active Shields. When Naga activates her Burst Skill, all allies will gain ATK for 10 seconds. Additionally, allies will gain additional ATK if there are active Shields, up to 47.2% of Naga’s ATK.
Do note that the value is based on Naga’s base ATK and not Final ATK, so any buffs applied to her will not further increase the bonus.
Final Thoughts
Depending on how you build your squad composition, Naga is an extremely powerful support that provides an abundance amount of utilities, striking a balance between offense and defense.
However, her abilities have conditions tied to them, thus careful consideration in picking the right allies for her is important. To get the most potential out of her, a teammate who can provide Shield is an essential ally for her, such as the upcoming Tia, her squadmate and best friend.
Her ability to boost damage against enemy cores made her a great synergy with powerful damage dealers such as Harran and Alice, especially in Raids. Additionally, the health restoration provided by her Skill 2 to the 2 allies with the lowest HP percentage helps to keep characters like A2 and Scarlet healthy, ensuring their survival while keeping their buffs active.
As an Electric-Code Nikke, Naga will also have a natural synergy with Sparkling Summer Anis. Another great ally for Naga is Biscuit, who can help rebuild any destroyed covers and ensure Naga’s Skill 1’s HP recovery boost stays active.
All in all, Naga is worth considering pulling for, thanks to her utilities and flexibility. That said, note that there are conditions to her abilities and it is best to have some allies built and ready to be paired with her.
