When the going gets funky on your Nintendo Switch in this MCO times, you’ll want to claim that warranty for your console, so here’s how to do it in Malaysia. This applies for the Maxsoft warranty:
- One year for console ONLY
- One year for accessories
- Includes Joy-cons, Joy-con charger
STEP ONE
Be sure to have your receipt as proof of purchase for your console. You will also need the box your console came with, as it will have a serial number.
The same serial code is also printed on the console itself on the bottom, or can be found through the System menu > Serial Information.
The Joy-cons themselves also have their own serial numbers, stuck on the plastic wrapper they came with in the box.
STEP TWO
Once you have the information above, you will then need to contact M.M. Soft Malaysia Sdn Bhd. You can call them at +603-77251552 during office hours, and they will ask you about the nature of your issue. The contact is also important so that they can run through any further necessary steps prior to you sending in your machine / accessories via appointment. You can find them at the following address:
C803, Jalan PJU 8/1, Metropolitan Square Office, Bandar Damansara Perdana, 47820 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
If you want to email them, we were redirected to contact them at [email protected]. Maxsoft likewise has an online form here.
STEP THREE
You’ll then have to wait once you drop off your console. You can expect an estimated wait time of One Month, though we are told that it is possible the issue can be resolved within Two to Three Weeks.
Should your warranty have lapsed, you should expect prices to differ depending on the issue. For example, fixing Joy-con drift came up to RM100 in total.
All in all, the warranty process for a Malaysia Nintendo Switch is pretty easy to claim. Do note we won’t be able to assist in individual requests, but this should hopefully clarify how to claim your warranty.
