[ Guide ] Genshin Impact: The Sea of Fog and the Rite of the Trees

The third day of the Tsurumi Island saga continues in Genshin Impact, with The Sea of Fog and the Rite of the Trees in the “Through the Mists” quest chain. This follows Octave of the Maushiro, and will be available the following real life day.

You’ll be tasked to speak to Kama, who will tell you things now that you’ve finally asked him of them. Once more, it looks like Tsurumi Island is covered in fog, but things will be different today. Do pick up the quest from Roald near the docks. Hope you’ve remembered to gather the local fungi! However, let’s press on first; we’ll need to find Ruu.

After some revelations, you’ll be tasked to destroy the perches. At 50%, power will burst out of them, and you’ll need to chase them down. The perch cannot be damaged until you find the dispersed power.

They’ll show up on the mini map much like the feathers from the ceremonial ritual. You need to use elemental attacks on them on them in order to disperse them. Elemental Sight can also help you follow the trail to find the dispersed power, which stands out in the fog. Once you’ve dispersed all of them, return to the perch to finish the job.

Now, you need to find the other perches.

CHIRAI SHRINE

Remember where the perch is? Make your way over and take it down. You’ll be encountering Rifthounds among other creatures as you try to end this cycle once and for all.

Rinse, repeat.

SHIRIKORO PEAK

Rinse, repeat.

With the deed done, you return to the ceremonial site, only to be chased off by an intense storm.

After a conversation with Ruu, you’ll return to speak to Sumida once more to conclude The Sea of Fog and the Rite of the Trees. Looks like there’s yet one more thing to do…
