The Sacred Sakura Ritual Cleansing questline in Genshin Impact can be started on the outskirts of Konda Village, where you’ll find a mysterious shrine maiden. It rapidly becomes a very convoluted process, so let’s begin. You can do this in tandem with another quest as the items are nearby.
A Strange Story in Konda
You’ll be prompted to use Electro on the statue to pick up a Ward. The shrine maiden will name herself Kazari and send you on your way.
In the village, speak to:
- Futaba
- Takeru, who can be found on a roof
- Saimon Eri
You’ll be directed to a cart on the outskirts of the village, the bucket next to the well behind the village chief’s house and the bag in the gulley as clues to confront the village chief with. Once done with the interrogation, climb to the roof of his house to read his notes. You’ll then need to dig up the key and open up the well lock.
In the well, you’ll find an Electro Seelie as well as a passage to an Electroculus. You’ll need to pick up the Electrogranum nearby to move through the barrier. You’ll then need to interact with the lanterns in order to proceed to a battle and the next step.
Sacrificial Offering
You need to bring the ghostly figures to the three fox statues. Once done, you’ll get three Exquisite Chests and a book will spawn on the stone in the middle.
You’ll be directed to speak to Inagi Hotomi at the Grand Narukami Shrine. You’ll receive the Memento Lens gadget to use on certain statues. It’ll be these smaller fox statues with glow lines in them.
Recite in order,
- In the name of Narukami’s envoy,
- and of the Hakushin bloodline,
- bring forth the fried tofu!
You’ll get the next Ward, and will have to find the next barrier. On completion of the puzzle, you’ll be thrown into another battle.
Cleansing Defilement
You need to head over to the next three areas.
In Chinju Forest, you’ll be hearing a strange voice. Follow the tanuki up to the large tanuki statue after a couple of battles, who will ask you to play with some smaller tanuki. For two of them, they will transform into torches, which you can try lighting with Pyro to break their transformation.
Kichiboushi will vanish the cliff wall so that you can cleanse the area. It’ll be another battle once you complete the puzzle.
Pick up the Kamisato barrier ward from the fox statue by using the Memento Lens on the smaller fox. Paimon will prompt you to use Electro on the bigger fox.
Ward in hand, head over to the flats off the coast and use the Memento Lens on the fox statue. You’ll be transported to an area with Balethunder, so pick up the Electrogranum on the way to avoid as much HP loss as possible. Another puzzle and battle with twin enemies awaits you.
There’ll be a Seelie you can follow out to an Electroculus.
Last but not least will be Araumi, where you will find some Electro monuments to interact with.
When the switch unlocks, use the Memento Lens on the fox statues inside the hollow tower. Interact with the switches and jump down. There’ll be a Precious Chest and an Electroculus for you to collect too, before you proceed down.
Use the Memento Lens on the fox statue to get an Electrogranum to move through the barrier. Interact with the fox statue with Electro, grab the ward and use the Memento Lens on the other statues nearby to get the lanterns to interact with. Do battle and return to Kazari at the Konda Village well.
Yougou Cleansing
This is the final part of the quest. After a cutscene, you’ll be prompted to jump down for the battle. Pick up the Electroculus on your way down too. A healer is recommended, as the area below will be affected by Balethunder. There’ll be multiple phases where you need to bring down phantoms, do the puzzle, and fight the tumour until it’s defeated.
Phase One
Phase Two
Phase Three
Once done, go through the dialogue and enjoy the cutscene. That’s all for the Sacred Sakura Ritual Cleansing, it’s definitely one of the more involved world quests with the update! Using the mask Kazari leaves behind will allow you to learn the Hakushin Ring Catalyst recipe.
