In the version 4.3 update of Genshin Impact, not only are Navia and Chevreuse joining the playable cast of Teyvat, but there will also be new Artifacts in the form of Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods and Song of Days Past.
In this guide, we will look into the new Artifact set Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods in Genshin Impact to see if they are valuable to grind for and which character can take advantage of them.
Before we dive into the details of the new Artifact set, both Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods and Song of Days Past can be obtainable from the new Waterfall Wen Domain at the East Slopes of Mont Automnequi in the Belleau Region of Fontaine.
Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods
The Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods Artifact set has the following effects when worn with multiple pieces of it:
- 2-Piece Bonus:
- ATK +18%.
- 4-Piece Bonus:
- After using an Elemental Skill, gain a 20% Geo DMG Bonus for 10s. While under a shield granted by the Crystallize reaction, the above effect will be increased by 150%, and this additional increase disappears 1s after that shield is lost.
Based on the effects, this Artifact set is undeniably designed for Geo characters as the 4-piece bonus effect only grants Geo DMG Bonus.
Note that the description wording may sound confusing, the total Geo DMG Bonus added up while under a shield granted by Crystallize reaction is 50% and not 170%.
Recommended Character for this Artifact
Since this Artifact set bolsters both ATK and Geo DMG, it will be a good build option for any ATK-scaling Geo damage dealers. At the very least, a good alternative over building a combination of 2-piece Artifacts that grant ATK and Geo DMG.
In most cases, Geo characters will have no problem gaining a Crystallize shield as long as there is another element of either Pyro, Electro, Cryo, or Hydro in the team to trigger the reaction in the first place. Of course, for consistency, any good off-field elemental applicators like Xingqiu, Yelan, Fischl, and Yae Miko are recommended
In fact, at first read, this Artifact set is without a doubt designed with Navia in mind as the effect synergizes with her kit perfectly and will be a best-in-slot if you do not plan to run Furina with her. If you chose to run Furina with Navia, then the Marechaussee Hunter Artifact set would be a comparable alternative but overall the Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods Artifact set would still be the go-to recommended set for the Spina di Rosula President Navia.
Aside from Navia, other characters who can easily utilize this Artifact set would be Ningguang and Noelle. In Ningguang’s case, she is already an ATK-scaling character and the fact that she uses Catalyst makes it so that she can consistently apply Geo to enemies to trigger a Crystallize reaction.
Meanwhile, Noelle is only good with this Artifact set if she is at C0 since C7 made her scales with DEF better and made the Husk of Opulent Dreams Artifact set the better choice for her.
Is this Artifact good?
At its core, the Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods Artifact set is a good set for any ATK-scaling Geo damage dealers. However, at the moment, only Navia and Ningguang can take better advantage of the Artifact set since most other Geo characters scale better with HP or DEF.
The answer to whether should you farm this set depends on whether you have Navia and planning to use this set on her or not. Given that the set is new, it is not available in the Artifact Strongbox yet, and farming it for any potential ATK-scaling Geo future characters is not recommended Resin-wise.
To put it simply, go for it if you have Navia, avoid it if you are Navia-less. For more Genshin Impact content such as our guide for Navia, the latest news, and more, be sure to check them out here at GamerBraves.
