Rune Blade	Ability Disorder: Deliver a devastating attack while switching modes. Fills the ATB gauge when attack connects. Can use while airborne. Proficiency Bonus: Strike with Attack or Strong Attack after switching modes. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 4. In the Junon area, specifically the Starboard Connecting Passage, near the vending machine, you will discover a Treasure Chest with purple lights. Umbral Blade	Ability Prime Mode: Strengthen Punisher Mode. Hold down Attack to deliver three consecutive strikes. Increases Berserk potency. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy while active. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 8. Look for the Solemnitude Manor in The Dustbowl region. The treasure chest you're searching for will be located at the front door of the manor and will have a wooden exterior with purple lights. Crystal Sword	Ability Infinity's End: Wind up and unleash an overhead strike. Increased damage on stagger. Costs 2 ATB. Proficiency Bonus: Strike a staggered enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 9. Look to the Gongaga Reactor's Freight Corridor on the Reactor-B2 level. Within this area, you will find a small, water-filled room where a Treasure Chest with purple lights, open it and obtain the Crystal Sword.
Igneous Saber	Ability Blade Burst: Unleash a wave of non-elemental mako energy at an enemy in front of you with a slash of your sword. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 9. Once there, head to Mt. Nibel's Northern Ridge - Upper Level when you doing the main scenario “To the Reactor”. Look for a metal platform near the east rock wall and locate the Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open it and obtain the Igneous Saber.
Slipstream Saber	Ability Counterstance: Brace for attacks and retaliate. Activate at the right time to reduce damage. Can use while airborne. Proficiency Bonus: Unleash a counterattack. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 13. This is during the main scenario “Into the Labyrinth.” You can climb on some leaves and look at the ruined buildings and green pieces of iron at Labyrinth Ceiling. Locate the ancient Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open it and obtain the Slipstream Saber.

Gatling Gun	Ability Focused Shot: Consume all ATB charges to unleash a concentrated burst of energy. Significantly increases stagger. Proficiency Bonus: Stagger an Enemy. How to Obtain: Default weapon.
Hi-Caliber Rifle	Ability Bonus Round: Load your weapon with unique bullets that increase stagger and power up your attacks. Proficiency Bonus: Fire 20 bullets. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 2 and during the main scenario "Break the Saddle." Then, navigate to the northeast shoreline of the large Swamp in the Grasslands. Look for a Treasure Chest with purple lights, and you'll find it after traveling south from the Abandoned Dock. Open the chest and obtain the Hi-Caliber Rifle.
Barrage Blaster	Ability Lifesaver: Temporarily increase your HP and take damage intended for other party members. Proficiency Bonus: Use your HP to heal allies (one time only while active). How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 7 and during the main scenario "Leaving the Reactor Behind." Locate the Railway Control Tower on the Ground Level, where you'll find a wooden Treasure Chest with purple lights near the cliff's edge. Open the chest and obtain the Barrage Blaster.
Vulcan Cannon	Ability Charging Uppercut: Rush toward an enemy and launch them into the air with a furious blow. Increases Charge. Proficiency Bonus: Top up the Overcharge gauge. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 8 and during the "Prisoner" main scenario, which will guide you to the Scrapyard Prison Cell in Corel Desert. Near a wrecked vehicle and alongside two Sandhog enemies, you'll find a wooden Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Vulcan Cannon.
Fafnir Rifle	Ability Point Blank: Consume all ATB charges to deliver a close-range attack and send enemies flying. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 9, then head to Gongaga Village. Here, you will find the Quest Board where you can do the side quest "The Pursuit of Perfection," located within the Gongaga region. Complete the quest and will reward you Fafnir Rifle.
Calamitous Bazooka	Ability Smackdown: Strike the ground and send nearby enemies flying. Proficiency Bonus:Strike two or more enemies. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 10 and during the main scenario "To Thine Own Self Be True." Navigate to the Gate of Anger room within the Chamber of Sacrifice level in the Cave of the Gi. In the southwest corner, you'll find a Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Calamitous Bazooka.
Battle Cry	Ability Turbulent Spirit: Significantly increase your ATB charge rate for a limited time. Can only be used once per battle. Proficiency Bonus: Fill 2 ATB charges while active. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 13. This is during the main scenario “Forging Ahead.” You can find it easily on Hall of Life - First Tier after passing the Lifestream and looking at a small room. Slyph Gloves	Ability Reverse Gale: Knock enemies into the air or bring them crashing down with a wind-aspected attack. Launches enemies toward you. Can use while airborne. Kaiser Knuckles	Ability Overpower: Use with other attacks to more effectively pressure enemies. Can use while airborne. Proficiency Bonus: Follow up Attack after using the weapon ability. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 3. During main scenario " To Catch a Fiend", proceed to the 1st Freight Room on Cargo Deck 1F within Shinra-8. Locate the Treasure Chest with purple lights near a short staircase and breakable Shinra boxes. Open and obtain the Kaiser Knuckles.
Dragon Claws	Ability Starshower: Unleash a flurry of powerful strikes. Increases strength of next command executed. Proficiency Bonus: Follow up with an offensive ability or spell after using the weapon ability. How to Obtain: To obtain the Dragon Claws in the game, you must first complete the main scenario quest, "Gearing up for the Race," in Chapter 8. Once you reach this point, participate in the Desert Rush mini-game and achieve a Rank III Score on it while playing in The Dustbowl.
Tiger Fangs	Ability Chi Trap: Create an orb of materialized chi that deals damage on contact. Proficiency Bonus: Strike a staggered enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 9. During the main scenario “Rescue Effort”, navigate to the B1 level and locate the Treasure Chest with purple lights in the northeast corner of the Output Regulation - B1 floor. Utilize the Grappling Hook to access the required floors. Open and obtain the Tiger Fangs.
Crystal Gloves	Ability Unfettered Fury: Imbue your unbridled attacks with non-elemental magic. Increases stagger. Proficiency Bonus: Stagger an enemy with a standard attack while active. Jarngreipr	Ability True Strike: Deliver a tremendous blow at close range. Increase stagger damage bonus. Proficiency Bonus: Strike a staggered enemy. Timeless Rod	Ability Chrono Aegis: Raise a barrier that damages and temporarily freezes enemies who attempt to strike you. Proficiency Bonus: Strike an enemy and inflict Stop. How to Obtain: Navigate to Bill's Ranch in the Grasslands Region and search for the large red Chocobo Barn. Near the Tack Shop, you'll find a wooden Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Timeless Rod.
Empress's Scepter	Ability Radiant Ward: Conjure a ward that grants invincibility while casting spells. Strengthens Aerith's basic attack. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy with a standard attack launched from within the ward. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 4 - Main Quest "A Stranger's Voice." Inside Under Junon Resorts in Aerith's room, you will discover a wooden Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Empress's Scepter.
Wizard's Rod	Ability Lustrous Shield: Conjure a magical shield that keeps enemies at bay and stops projectiles. Proficiency Bonus:Defend against an enemy's attack (one time only while active). How to Obtain: Proceed to the Corel Region and locate the Treasure Chest with purple lights near the water, southwest of the Mt. Corel Ascent Rest Spot. You will find this spot after completing the Chapter 7 Main Scenario “Split Up” step and following the main dirt path up Mt. Corel Ascent. Open and obtain Wizard's Rod.
Ceremonial Staff	Ability ATB Ward: Conjure a ward. Fill ATB charges within the ward to increase your allies' ATB gauges. Proficiency Bonus: Activate the effects of the ward (one time only while ward is on the field). How to Obtain: Progress through Chapter 10 Main Scenario until you reach "An Unquenchable Thirst". Head to the Village of the Gi and locate the Rest Spot near Outcasts' Shore. You'll find a Treasure Chest with purple lights nearby. Open and obtain the Ceremonial Staff.
Plumose Rod	Ability Ray of Judgement: Fire an energy burst that hits multiple times. Increased stagger damage bonus. Proficiency Bonus: Strike a staggered enemy. How to Obtain: To obtain Plumose Rod, progress through Chapter 12 and begin the quest "Lament of the Damned" at the Nibelheim. Once completed, participate in Hojo's exams in the Mako Research Combat Simulator room. After finishing all exams, access the Shinra Manor and locate the Mako Research Facility - Section X level, where you will find a Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Plumose Rod.
Gambanteinn	Ability Noble Sacrifice: Sacrifice yourself to revive fallen allies, restore their HP, and remove detrimental status effects. Costs 2 ATB. Proficiency Bonus: Activate when an ally is in critical condition or unconscious. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 13. This is during the Main Scenario “Keep Trying.” You can find it easily on Hall of Life - Second Tier, not far from the stairs. Locate the ancient Treasure Chest with purple lights. Mythril Collar	Ability Stardust Ray: Unleash a devastating attack over a wide area. Costs 2 ATB. Proficiency Bonus: Strike two or more enemies. How to Obtain: Default weapon.
Renegade's Collar	Ability Crescent Claw: Slash at a foe. Deplete the gauge while in Vengeance Mode to increase potency and range. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 3 and during Main Scenario “Escape the Depths”. Proceed to the Mine Depths - Lower Layer, specifically the Subterranean Terrace. You'll find a Rest Spot near a Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Renegade's Collar.
Silver Collar	Ability Chilling Roar: Retaliate with ice shards whenever hit by an attack. Charges the Vengeance Gauge when a counterstrike lands. Proficiency Bonus: Exploit an enemy's weakness. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 7. During the Main Scenario "Fun While it Lasts", excel at the Costa Del Sol mini-game "Run Wild" by achieving a Rank III Score, which will reward you with this prized item.
Amethyst Collar	Ability Supernal Fervor: Grant Haste on all party members. Can only be used during Vengeance Mode. Costs 2 ATB. Proficiency Bonus: Activate on a three-person party. How to Obtain: Progress through the main quest until Chapter 7, then accept the Side Quest "Of Robed Men and Ransoms" from the North Corel Community Noticeboard. This quest will lead you to the Old South Corel Mine, where you'll find a Treasure Chest with purple lights in the Colliery No. 1 room. Open and obtain the Amethyst Collar.
Golden Collar	Ability Watcher's Respite: Deplete the Vengeance Gauge to heal allies. Potency proportional to amount expended. Proficiency Bonus: Activate when the Vengeance Gauge is full. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 9, during the Main Scenario "The Shadow Beckons", navigate to the Gongaga Reactor's B3 floor and access the Coolant Control room on the B2 level. After rearranging crates to reveal a hidden passage, climb them and enter the small square you will see a treasure chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Golden Collar.
Mystic Collar	Ability Watcher's Spirit: Deplete the Vengeance Gauge to increase allies' ATB. Potency proportional to amount expended. Proficiency Bonus: Activate when the Vengeance Gauge is full. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 10 and during the Main Scenario “Let the Trials Begin”, navigate to the southeast corner of the Hall of Diversion in the Cave of the Gi. Find the Watcher's Glaive artifact on a mid-level stone platform. After picking it up and inspecting it, you will obtain the Mystic Collar.
Brisingamen	Ability Reaper Touch: Deliver a deadly strike. Potency is inversely proportional to current HP. Proficiency Bonus: Activate when HP is critically low. How to Obtain: Progress through the main story of the game until you reach Chapter 13. This is during the Main Scenario “The Hunt Begins Anew.” You can it easily on Hall of Life - Second Tier at Corridor of Response. Locate the ancient Treasure Chest with purple lights. Twin Viper	Ability Windstorm: Create a gust of wind that damages nearby enemies and launches them toward you. Proficiency Bonus: Strike two or more enemies. How to Obtain: Progress through Chapter 7, during the Main Scenario "Reach the Control Panel," activate the generator, and navigate to the Ground Level's Preparation Plant - 1F room, where you'll find a wooden treasure chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Twin Viper.
Bird of Prey	Ability Dopplegänger: Conjure a clone of yourself that temporarily mimics your actions. Can use while airborne. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy while the clone is present. How to Obtain: Progress through the story until you reach Chapter 9 Main Scenario "The Village of Gongaga." Once you have access to Gongaga Village, head to the Felicia Commons northwest area where you'll find a house with a Rest Spot. Inside this house, locate the Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Bird of Prey.
Crescent Sickle	Ability Shooting Star: Let the shuriken fly across the battlefield, mowing down all enemies it touches. Can use while airborne. Proficiency Bonus: Strike two or more enemies. How to Obtain: Progress through the story until you reach Chapter 10, during Main Scenario "Homeward Bound," do the "Bonds of Trust" side quest by speaking with Kamaria at Kamaria's Ranch in Cosmo Canyon Region. Next, participate in the Glide de Chocobo Training Course No. 1 mini-game in the same area, achieving a Rank III score to obtain the Crescent Sickle.
Crystalline Cross	Ability Banishment: ATB spent on other commands increases damage dealt. Affinity changes with ninjutsu. Can use while airborne. Shares gauge with Purification. Max Level: III. Proficiency Bonus: Strike an enemy with a Level III attack. How to Obtain: Progress through the Main Scenario in Chapter 12, "Hightailing It." Once you reach this point, head to the Gold Saucer and locate the northeast Utilidor maintenance area with the wide gray stairs. Near these stairs, find a Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Crystalline Cross.
Fuma Shuriken	Ability Purification: ATB spent on other command increase the amount of HP and MP absorbed. Can use while airborne. Share Gauge with Banishment. Max Level: III. Proficiency Bonus: Strike an enemy with a Level III attack. How to Obtain: Progress through the Main Scenario in Chapter 13, "The Materia Awaits". Once you reach this point after Cloud Trial, you will easily find a Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Fuma Shuriken.

Yellow Megaphone	Ability Roll o' the Dice: Roll a die. Resulting effect varies depending on which number appears. Proficiency Bonus: Roll a 1, 3, or 6. How to Obtain: Default weapon.
Iron Megaphone	Ability Fortune Telling: Deal damage great or small—or perhaps just get your fortune told. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy. How to Obtain: Default weapon.
Red Megaphone	Ability Moogle Kaboom: Turn your moogle into a ticking time bomb that explodes when it leaves combat. Proficiency Bonus: Strike an enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the story until you reach Chapter 9 and complete the Main Scenario "The Village of Gongaga". Next, swim in the water-filled gorge within the Gongaga village, and you'll discover a small torch-lit cave with a wood Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Red Megaphone.
Resounding Megaphone	Ability Moogle Mine: Use the moogle to scatter landmines that explode upon enemy contact. Moderately increases stagger. Proficiency Bonus: Stagger an enemy with a mine explosion. How to Obtain: Progress through the story until you reach Chapter 9 and during Main Quest "Freeflier Pilot," head to Gongaga Airstrip in the Gongaga Region. Look for a Treasure Chest with purple lights near a stack of pallets and bushes, northwest of the phone booth. Open and obtain the Resounding Megaphone.
Crystal Megaphone	Ability Moogle Magic: Use an equipped summon's ability. Can only use while riding moogle during battles in which summons are available. Cooldown increases with each use. Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy. How to Obtain: Complete Chapter 10 Main Scenario “Higher Learning”. Then, access the Cliff of Observation - Lower Level and enter the Cosmo Observatory. Speak with the assistant to start the Discovery, Parting Gift quest, which will guide you to the Treasure Chest with purple lights. Open and obtain the Crystal Megaphone.
Crystal Megaphone	Ability Moogle Knuckle: Use the moogle to deliver a fistful of pain. Increased stagger damage bonus. Proficiency Bonus: Strike a staggered enemy. How to Obtain: Progress through the story until you reach Chapter 11 and during Main Scenario "Escape Plan", locate the Treasure Chest with purple lights in the Specimen Testing room of Shinra Manor's Section W level. This chest is situated within a cell behind a gate. To open the gate, aim to hit a wall-mounted button with a small wooden box, which will release the cell and grant you access to the chest. Open and obtain the Golden Megaphone.
Gjallarhorn	Ability Lady Luck: Call upon the goddess of fortune to temporarily increase allies' critical hit rate. Proficiency Bonus: Activate on a three-person party. How to Obtain: Progress through the story until you reach Chapter 11 and complete the side quest "Esoteric Secrets of the Elders" in the Nibel region. Once unlocked, visit the Chocograss Collector at the Chocobo Sage's Manor. Collect 45 Chocograss found floating above water sources in the Nibel region, and then deliver them to the Collector to obtain the Gjallarhorn.

Those are the various weapons you can find for each character in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. As you can see, all of them have their own unique abilities, making them flexible for certain playstyles, so do experiment to see which weapon fits what scenario. In this way, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth does feel more dynamic than its predecessor in terms of character build.
