In Monster Hunter Wilds, meals play a crucial role in preparing hunters for their adventures. Players have two primary ways to obtain meals: cooking for themselves or receiving meal invitations from village NPCs. These meal invitations become available after completing low-rank quests and interacting with villagers throughout the game.

Meal invitations are not guaranteed after completing quests and occur randomly. Players may encounter some challenges, such as meal icons appearing when NPCs are unavailable – either sleeping or in inaccessible rooms. In such cases, players can use the Rest feature to fast-forward time and access the meal.
These village meal invitations are particularly valuable because they offer longer-lasting and more effective stat boosts compared to standard meals. Each villager provides unique bonuses, encouraging players to explore different villages and complete side quests to maximize their meal invitation opportunities.
