Haste and Melissa’s family just got bigger in Epic Seven with Abigail available now through the Covenant summons which will be available from 6th June 2023 till 15th of June 2023.
She will also be releasing alongside an artifact called the Golden Rose which we will touch briefly on later in the article.
With Abigail being yet another Fire elemental type Warrior similar to that of Benimaru, her skill kit would have to be pretty great to warrant the need for yet another hero with the same Element and Class.
We should note that since Abigail has not been released yet, this will be a first impressions guide based on her recently released character preview that is meant to showcase her abilities.
With that being said, here’s a quick run down of Abigail’s character sheet, she is a 5* Fire Warrior that has Effect Resistance as his Imprint Release, and Critical Hit Chance (%) when Concentrated.
Animations and Skills
Abigail’s animation comes from her s3 (Ultimate) called Scarlet Garden which is a single-target attack that dispels all buffs from an enemy before dealing damage to them and inflicting injuries which reduces the max health of an enemy by up to 25%.
In terms of animation, Abigail has a pretty good animated sequence, it sees her sitting on top of a rooftop overlooking the targeted enemy and casts her skill on them which also includes a nice close up shot of her character.
Moving on, her s2 Blood Banquet has two effects:
- At the start of the turn, Abigail will Curse the enemy with the highest Attack for one turn. (Curse is a debuff that takes a portion of any single-target damage attack on allies and applies it to the Cursed unit)
- When the ally in the back row (except Abigail) receives lethal damage, Abigail will consume 30% of her current Health to grant Immortality and Vampirism to the target for one turn. This skill can only be activated once every five turns.
Lastly, her s1 Ambush is a Basic Attack that increases her Combat Readiness by 15%. The skill also has a 35% chance to trigger Might which boosts all her allies Combat Readiness by 15%. Ambush can also be Soul-burned for 10x souls to increase the chance of triggering Might to 100%.
Suggested Sets
Speed + Health – Abigail is one of those characters that I feel would benefit most with a speed set due to her Combat Readiness push capabilities through the S1 and for just better turn rotation in general.
This may not be the most optimal set as of now, but for the purpose of this guide and based on the preview video released alone, I personally think the most standard build for her right now would be Speed + Health.
Possible Counters
I can see Abigail struggling to go up against characters like Aola and Mediator Kawerik both of which could be used to counter her s2 passive that gives the ally unit Immortality and Vampirism as well as cleanse the Curse effect while putting up an immunity buff in its place.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Abigail as whole does not seem to impress. She seems easily countered through buff strips or Cannot Buff debuff and her other skills does not warrant a pity. However, If you have the Covenant Bookmarks to spare, you may try a 10x pull to test your luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.
Her Artifact Golden Rose is great however and would be great on characters like Martial Artist Ken.
